Michael Card 是我最喜歡的美國福音音樂家之ㄧ。
Michael Card 非常擅長引用聖經故事來編寫他的歌曲創作，聽他的詩歌，常常就會覺得把很多聖經故事唱了出來，他把聖經故事、金句放在詩歌當中，是有由來的。
他來自一個音樂世家，本來也想從事音樂教育。但他受到一位教授William Lane的教導及影響，接受神的呼召，成為一個音樂創作者。從前，William Lane教授牧養一個小教會，每週William Lane教授將預備好的講道稿交給
Michael Card ，
Michael Card 就依照講稿寫成一首敬拜讚美的歌曲，在主日崇拜時唱，如此創作詩歌的方式維持六年之久。這段經歷讓Michael Card 體驗到，他在愛和包容中，逐漸培養出創作的能力。創作中難免有好有壞，但教會的弟兄姊妹都會正面的回應。不論是他的音樂，或他的書，都大量的引用聖經。他沒有為銷售的考量來寫書作曲，他創作，是要分享耶穌的愛及神的救恩。
Michael Card 的歌很多我都很喜歡，像是Arise My Love,
Joseph's Song, El Shaddai.... 而El Shaddai是我在看聖經的時候常常的，而且不斷的重複....這首歌從舊約唱到新約，是的!我們的神是Almighty 的神，Age to age , Our God is still the same! Through the people failed to see what Messiah ought to be, though Your Word contained the plan. They just could not understand. Your most awsome work was done through the fraility of your son.
I pray that forever I will praise and lift the Name of Christ Jesus on high.
