NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Study

-------------------------

Dear Esther,

Thank you very much for agreeing to participate in our study at the >NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Lab with Arianna. Here is a confirmation of the date, time and place of your appointment.

Date: Friday, October 17, 2008
Time: 2:30 pm
Place: Meyer Psychology Building
New York University
4 Washington Place

New York, NY 10003

Here is a little more information about the study: The purpose of this study is to find out what information infants prioritize when learning about patterns. Your child will sit in your lap in front of a screen and listen to different sounds, either collections of spoken syllables, or tones. There are multiple different patterns that children might learn, and we're interested in how the listening behavior changes when we play new sounds that are consistent with some patterns but inconsistent with others.

We look forward to seeing you on the day of your appointment. If you have any questions or would like further information, feel free to contact us at 212-998-7607.

Thank you,

Christina Starmans
Research Coordinator
NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Lab
